Exploring Collective Trauma and Collective Healing

A special 3-part clinical series exploring the psychological impact of collective trauma through a psychodynamic lens. This program addresses how shared experiences like war, racial violence, and global crises affect individuals and communities – and how clinicians can respond with awareness, sensitivity, and skill.

Center for the Study of Aging & Clinical Applications (CSACA)

A two-year conference series focused on the psychological and relational dimensions of aging. Designed for clinicians working with older adults, each session blends theory, real-world application, and case-based discussion.

Clinical Program on Psychotherapy Practice (CPPP)

A two-year certificate program offering immersive training in psychodynamic psychotherapy. Designed for mental health professionals at all career stages, the curriculum blends classical and contemporary theory with clinical application, supervision, and peer connection.

Core Concepts in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy (CCPP)

A warm and rigorous four-month online course designed for early-career clinicians and mental health professionals new to psychodynamic theory. Through weekly live sessions, participants explore foundational concepts like the unconscious, transference, and the therapeutic relationship – all within a supportive, collaborative learning environment.

Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP)

A rigorous, three-year training program for licensed clinicians seeking advanced skills in affect-focused, experiential psychotherapy. Through hands-on supervision, video-based case work, and close faculty mentorship, participants learn to identify and remove barriers to emotional closeness, accelerate the therapeutic process, and help clients access deep change.

National Group Psychotherapy Institute (NGPI)

The National Group Psychotherapy Institute is NWSP’s flagship training program – an immersive, multi-theoretical learning experience that brings clinicians into a dynamic, evolving conversation about the art and science of group therapy. With a legacy spanning over 30 years, NGPI continues to serve as a professional home for practitioners who want to deepen their relational skillset, explore the intersection of theory and practice, and grow alongside an engaged, thoughtful cohort.
